What this site is
This site gives you a ballpark cost estimate for building a deck at a specific Austin-metro zip code. It is free to use.
Legal entity: Texas Deck Builders LLC, a Texas limited liability company, operating under the brand "Texas Deck Builders." All references to "Texas Deck Builders," "we," "us," or "our" in these terms refer to Texas Deck Builders LLC operating under the Texas Deck Builders brand.
Websites operated: texasdeckbuilders.com (main) and texasdeckestimate.com (calculator and chat — operated for Texas Deck Builders LLC under a marketing services agreement).

The estimate is an estimate, not a quote
The number the calculator shows is a good-faith cost range based on 2026 Austin-metro installed-cost data, our pricing for comparable builds, and regional multipliers by zip code. It is not a binding quote. Actual project costs vary with site conditions (slope, soil, access), structural requirements (height, foundation, permits), design complexity (multi-level, curves, built-ins), demolition of existing structures, and material availability.
A firm price requires a site visit. We offer one free, with zero obligation. If you want one, fill out the short form after your estimate.
What we promise you
- The calculator uses current national installed-cost data adjusted by an Austin-metro zip multiplier — not a generic one-size-fits-all number
- We do not sell your information to other contractors or third-party lead buyers
- We do not use scarcity tactics, fake countdown timers, or pressure sales
- If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop — the same day
What we don't promise
- That the estimate will match your final project cost — see above
- That the site will be available 100% of the time (it mostly is, but the internet is the internet)
- That we can take on every project — some weeks our calendar is full
Use of the site
You agree not to:
- Submit false or deliberately misleading information
- Scrape, clone, or republish the calculator or its pricing logic
- Use the site to harass us or anyone else
- Attempt to break or reverse-engineer any part of the site
Content on this site
The calculator logic, pricing methodology, copy, images, and design are the property of Texas Deck Builders. You're welcome to share a link to the site. You're not welcome to copy the content wholesale onto your own site.
Communications
When you submit the calculator form, you agree that Texas Deck Builders LLC (operating as Texas Deck Builders) can contact you by email about your estimate. To receive phone calls or text messages, you must separately opt in via the consent checkboxes on the form, or by submitting your phone number through the chat at texasdeckestimate.com/chat.
SMS / Text messaging program — Texas Deck Builders LLC (operating as Texas Deck Builders):
- Program description: Two opt-in categories — non-marketing texts (estimate follow-up, appointment confirmations, project updates) and/or marketing texts (special offers, service updates).
- Message frequency: Typically 3–8 texts during an active estimate or build cycle for non-marketing subscribers, and 1–2 texts per month for marketing subscribers.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to all text messages.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe immediately, or email office@texasdeckbuilders.com with "STOP" in the subject line.
- Help: Reply HELP to any text for support, or email the address above.
- Consent: Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of any purchase or service. You will still receive your estimate by email even if you do not opt in to texts.
- Mobile information: Phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent are never shared, sold, or rented to any third party for any purpose — including marketing, promotional, affiliate, analytics, or lead-generation purposes. SMS opt-in data is not shared with affiliates, partners, contractors, subcontractors, lead-generation networks, or any other category of third party. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can update preferences or revoke consent at any time using the methods above.
Links to other sites
We link to our main company site at texasdeckbuilders.com, to Meta's privacy policy, and to a few manufacturer pages. We're not responsible for content on those sites. Open external links at your discretion.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile carriers including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their affiliates are not responsible for SMS delivery failures, delays, or any consequential damages resulting from message service interruption.
Age restriction
This site and our SMS program are intended for adults age 18 and older. By submitting the estimator form or opting in to receive text messages, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, please do not submit the form or opt in to SMS. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has submitted information may email office@texasdeckbuilders.com and we will remove it.
Liability
Texas Deck Builders provides this calculator "as is." We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the estimate — including decisions you make based on it. If you rely on the estimate and it turns out your actual project costs more, that's the nature of an estimate. Get a site visit before you commit to a budget.
Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, our SMS-related non-sharing commitments, and how to exercise your rights regarding your data. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we update the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
